Over the past couple of decades, we have learned so much about how to improve people's lives For example, we've learned that access to quality early childhood education can dramatically improve people's life chances
And that teaching students social, emotional, and academic skills can prepare them effectively for life both inside and outside the classroom We've learned how to apply evidence-based practices in mental and behavioral health care that can support people in times of crisis And we've learned how to address some of our most challenging social problems in the areas of criminal justice, housing and homelessness, human services, food insecurity, climate change, and more And we've done it through harnessing the power of data for the common good Ultimately, this course is about how to think about social problems, and how nonprofits can use their resources to advance the common good
By the end of this course, you will have developed a nonprofit impact plan articulating your nonprofit's theory of change You'll also put together a custom built data strategy, to collect and analyze data at your nonprofit You'll put together a drafted and completed grant proposal based on these new things that you've developed And also be able to put together elevator pitches and a thought leadership piece that will position your nonprofit as a thought leader in your cause area And you can all get it done around your busy nonprofit schedule To learn more, visit coaching
