As part of its mandate, UNDP’s African Facility for Inclusive Markets (AFIM), has developed an African Agribusiness Supplier Development Programme (AASDP) in support of the AU and CAADP’s agriculture transformation and food security agenda.
The objectives of the agricultural supplier development programme (ASDP) are three-fold: first, to improve the quantity and quality supply of agricultural products by farmers and SMEs to markets; second, to provide smallholder farmers and SMEs with support in accessing the growing agricultural supply chains of lead firms; third, to contribute to the development of national African economies by developing agricultural products that meet market quality standards.
